POW! WOW! 2020: Celebrate Hawaiian Art, Culture and Music
POW! – It’s the impact that art has on a person. A punch in the face.
WOW! – Its reaction that art has on a viewer. A sense of awe and wonderment.
The 10th annual, week-long art event is back in Hawaii to celebrate music, culture and art! POW! WOW! is returning to the Kakaako neighborhood, as artists gather and organize gallery shows, lecture series, schools for art and music, mural projects and live art installations across the globe.
From February 7–15, 2020, come down to Ohe St. to Kapiolani Blvd. and Punchbowl to Kamakee St. to witness renowned artists at work, such as Tristan Eaton, Hush, Tokidoki, Jay Howell, Alex Pardee, and more. Join POW! WOW! for a block party alongside the Honolulu Night Market on February 14, 2020, with an exhibition curated by Thinkspace, a Moleskine exhibition with Spoke Art, artist talks, film screenings, indoor soccer matches with Kicks to the Pitch and Paradise Soccer Club, breakdancing battles with the Endless Summer Jam, and more.
Also, be sure to check out our custom mural by French artist/painter Lucas Beaufort in the Shoreline lobby!
