Discover an amazing lush natural preserve just 40-minutes north from Waikiki on the eastern shores of Oahu. Established in 1850, Kualoa Ranch Private Nature Reserve company is a 4,000-acre private nature reserve, as well as a popular destination and filming location — the site of Jurassic Park, Godzilla, Tears of the Sun, 50 First Dates, Pearl Harbor and more than 70 other movies!

The stunning destination offers adventure-driven excursions and is considered one of the most memorable things to do on Oahu.

Kualoa also boasts a dreamy wedding and event venue, offering everything from a “white sandy beach, a lush tropical garden, an ancient Hawaiian fishpond, a historic ranch house or an authentic Hawaiian village” for indoor/outdoor gatherings! Not to mention, their beautiful “farm-to-table” dining experience.

Kualoa is one of the most historically significant areas on Oahu, and in ancient times, it was one of the most sacred places on the island. Legends say Kualoa was once a pu’uhonua (place of refuge), where kanaka maoli (Hawaiian natives) could come to seek forgiveness. It was also used to host the Makahiki, an annual event where kanaka maoli came to train and participate in warrior games of skill.
