Celebrate the legacy of King Kamehameha with us at Shoreline Hotel Waikiki! As we honor the revered monarch, we invite you to join in the festivities happening throughout Honolulu from June 7th to June 11th.
On June 7th, immerse yourself in the cultural significance of King Kamehameha with the Lei Draping Ceremony at the iconic King Kamehameha Statue at Aliʻiōlani Hale. From 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., witness the adornment of the statue with beautiful floral lei, a tradition that pays homage to Hawaii’s great leader.
The celebrations continue on June 8th with the 107th King Kamehameha Celebration Floral Parade, starting at ʻIolani Palace and winding its way to Kapiʻolani Park. Join thousands of spectators as they line the streets to witness the colorful procession of floats, marching bands, and cultural groups. After the parade, head to Queen Kapiʻolani Park for the King Kamehameha Celebration Hoʻolauleʻa, where you can enjoy live music, traditional dance performances, local crafts, and delicious Hawaiian cuisine from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Finally, on June 11th, pay your respects at the King Kamehameha I tribute at the statue of Kamehameha I, also located at Aliʻiōlani Hale. This solemn ceremony, sponsored by the Daughters and Sons of the Hawaiian Warriors-MĀMAKAKAUA, takes place from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. and is a meaningful way to honor the memory of Hawaii’s founding monarch.
