Samuel Reverend Ruggles, an American missionary, planted the first coffee tree in Kailua-Kona (right here in Oahu) and is the state’s top agricultural products today! If you’re in the North Shore and interested in checking out the only coffee farm in Oahu, visit Waialua Estate, home to 155-acre coffee farm that specializes in growing coffee and cacao (chocolate)!
