Shoreline Hotel Waikiki Goes Green with Public Goods!

March 6, 2021

Our hotel aims to focus on green practices and doing our part for the environment by being more sustainably conscious. Every bit helps to make change.

We are excited to partner with Public Goods, makers of eco-friendly products that include personal care home essentials, grocery goods and vitamins, to offer our hotel guests new personal care items during their stay at Shoreline Hotel Waikiki.

To minimize plastic waste and adopting a better practice of eco-living, we’ve replaced the travel-size toiletries in our 135 rooms with large, refillable Public Goods shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion dispenser bottles made out of sugarcane-based plastics. The personal care products are vegan, as well as free of sulfates and hormone disruptors, such as parabens and phthalates.

Additionally, our hotel has a sustainable feature to help conserve energy, with a room keycard system in place that automatically controls the air conditioning units and lights when inserted and deactivates when guests remove the keycard when they are out of the room.

Our goal is to continue taking the steps to being part of the eco-friendly change in the hospitality industry.

Be sure to share your email with Public Goods – for every email they collect, they plant a tree – with a goal of planting 100,000 trees monthly!
